New Christian Kid’s Guitar Lesson Program

Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class for KIDS

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 28, 2008

Recently released, ‘Jean Welles Worship Guitar Class-TM for Kids’ is a Christian guitar instructional Book and DVD for young children. “Studies show that kids learning music have significant improvement of spatial-temporal scores – useful for classes like Math & Science,” say Jean Welles, producer of Christian Guitar products at worshipguitarclass.com. “Learning a musical instrument helps in brain development and growth.”

Learning to play a musical instrument has sadly not been a high priority in most schools. Welles offers this alternative program that families can use at home, for example homeschoolers. These Christ-centered lessons contain easy to play worship songs, even one written by a 6-year old.

To help kids learn, the lessons were filmed teaching a 7-year old. The songs reinforce Christian values and there are a few puppet skits, including a closing gospel invitation with puppets.

“The kid’s version of the Worship Guitar Series has been outstandingly received down here. The kids enjoy it. It’s at a level they can understand. The parents enjoy it because we don’t have a lot of people in our area that provide guitar training or anything like that. Having the DVD and Book together they feel like it’s wonderful for their kids,” says Maureen Spruill, music buyer for Foundation Christian Resource Center in Pleasanton, Texas.

Jean has a Masters Degree in Guitar Performance from USC and she participated in dozens of Master’s classes. She has taught and coached guitar students for over 30 years and is a worship leader in the greater Los Angeles area. Her new guitar lessons for children program is available from worshipguitarclass.com and through Christian and Music Retail Stores

This was cool! We were in Cologne, and just walking around the city. This VERY famous German band (I forgot the name. ha!) were giving guitar lessons. Everyone had guitars and were strumming along to their songs.

ClickForLessons.com Announces 2005′s Top Ten Requested Lessons Voice, Piano Top List; Hip Hop Dancing Finishes a Surprising 4th

ClickForLessons.com Announces 2005′s Top Ten Requested Lessons Voice, Piano Top List; Hip Hop Dancing Finishes a Surprising 4th

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 21, 2005

Want to be the next Shakira or Justin Timberlake? Then you’re not alone, as singing lessons were the No. 1 requested lesson of 2005.

That’s according to the just-released 2005 Top 10 Hottest Lesson Requests. The list, compiled by ClickForLessons.com, surveyed more than 3,000 students nationwide who requested lessons from all areas of the arts — including music, dance, singing, acting, art, and language.

Nearly one out of four students expressed interest in voice lessons. The next four most popular lessons requested were piano, acoustic guitar, hip-hop dance, and violin. Electric guitar, belly dancing, acting, salsa and Spanish lessons rounded out the list.

“This list gives us insight as to what Americans are selecting as creative outlets for expression,” said Click For Lessons Co-Founder and CEO Steven Cox. “We had some surprises this year, including Hip-Hop dance at no. 4 and belly dancing at no. 7. We’re also seeing a trend for a more global experience that includes foreign languages, and cultural-centered dance.”

Cox attributes the high placement of the dancing categories to the popularity of rap/hip-hop radio stations and TV shows such as ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Cox, a singer/songwriter, and entrepreneur in San Diego, Calif., founded the company in June after seeing the frustration many teachers had in finding students. Within five months, the company quickly expanded with members in over 400 cities. The site is free for students and teacher listings begin at .95 a month—although teachers are allowed to sample the service for free and receive up to two referrals monthly.

2005 Top 10 Lessons Requests

1.    Voice Lessons – 22.1%

2.    Piano Lessons – 14.5%

3.    Acoustic Guitar Lessons – 8.4%

4.    Hip-Hop Dance Lessons – 8.3%

5.    Violin Lessons – 5.8%

6.    Electric Guitar Lessons – 5.6%

7.    Belly Dancing Lessons – 5.4%

8.    Acting Lessons – 5.3%

9.    Salsa Lessons – 5.0%

10.    Spanish Lessons – 3.9%

Online Teacher Now Offers Guitar Lessons For Real Life Application

Online Teacher Now Offers Guitar Lessons For Real Life Application

Queensland, Australia (PRWEB) February 12, 2007

Mike Hayes (http://www.guitarcoaching.com), renowned guitarist and teacher from Queensland, Australia, has developed a new method called Express Guitar that is geared to teach aspiring guitarists useful tunes in no time.

In the past, the best way to learn to play guitar was to practice basic chords and learn simple children’s tunes that were worthless in a setting where a player wants to impress a crowd. Hayes’ Express Guitar method focuses on simple chords that require only two to three fingers as a starting point, allowing students to build upon maintaining a “groove.” Because the human response to music begins with rhythm, followed by melody and then harmony, the Express Guitar method hinges guitar lessons on building skills in this order.

In many cases, thick fingers or small hands play a role in the difficulty of learning to play guitars, making it hard for some to avoid accidentally pressing a string and causing others problems with reaching a string. Through Hayes’ impressive teaching method, new players are encouraged to design their own chord shapes that fit their hands and personal abilities.

Rev. Ron Leakey of Brooksville, Florida states: “I have tried books from the library and book store. I came across Express Guitar and wow, I am sold. I just love the way that the course is set up, simple precept upon precept. Express Guitar is the best teaching program out on the market today, bar none.”

These guitar lessons start with learning a handful of chords in a way that is easy for beginning guitarists to use with untrained fingers. The simplified teaching tool allows new players to learn enough chords in just ten minutes to play some of the most well-known songs on the radio today, including hits by Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and more. Many songs are built off of the same simple chords, and it is quick and simple to build a catalog of 50 songs for a party.

Pip Price of The Red Lion Inn in England says, “I don’t have any spare time in my business, but Mike’s course allows me to fit in fifteen minutes a day and see results.”

Anyone aspiring to learn to play guitar with little time on their hands and a lot of frustration at failed previous attempts can visit http://www.guitarcoaching.com to learn more about Mike Hayes’ new Express Guitar method.
